Sankosha
For over 75 years, Sankosha has been a leader in the development and manufacturing of Ceramic Gas Tube Surge Arresters (Gas Discharge Tubes or GDTs). Sankosha's gas tube arresters are designed to protect personnel, equipment, and circuitry from high voltages caused by lightning or electrical transients.
These surge protection devices spark over when abnormal voltage levels are detected, redirecting surges to the ground. Known for their quality and durability, Sankosha's products are used worldwide in various applications, including consumer electronics, modems, satellites, computers, CATV/Broadband, industrial, and telecom circuit protection.
The company's gas discharge tubes feature high surge ratings, low capacitance, and excellent response to fast-rising transients. Available in axial leaded, radial leaded, surface mount, and special packages, Sankosha's GDTs come in both two and three electrode configurations with discharge voltages ranging from 75V to 6000V.
Since the seventies, Sankosha has been selling gas tube arresters in the U.S., establishing Sankosha U.S.A., Inc. in 1987 to better serve the growing American market. Sankosha remains committed to providing top-tier surge protection solutions tailored to meet diverse needs
