Klockner Moeller
Klöckner-Moeller, founded in the early 20th century, became a prominent name in the industrial controls and low-voltage device industry. In the 1940s, it rebranded to Klöckner-Moeller, and later in 1999, it became Moeller GmbH to mark its centennial. Notably, in the 1990s, the Moeller Test Laboratory in Bonn earned the distinction of being the first German lab accredited for industrial low-voltage devices and systems.
Eaton acquired the Moeller Group in 2008, enhancing its portfolio with Moeller's expertise in residential building applications, circuit protection, and industrial controls for machinery in Europe. This acquisition solidified Eaton's position as a global leader in power management. Further expanding its reach, Eaton acquired CopperLogic Inc. in 2010, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial control products with a robust presence in the US and Canada.
Today, Klöckner-Moeller, under the Eaton umbrella, continues to innovate and lead in providing high-quality components and systems for various industrial and residential applications, maintaining its legacy of excellence and reliability in the industry.
