Vietnam’s First Electric Vehicle Charging Station Franchise Model
Published: 9.6.2024
V-GREEN, a pioneering company in Vietnam, has launched the country's first franchise model for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, signaling a new and promising business sector that contributes to the nation's green transition. This initiative aligns with the "Intense Vietnamese Spirit - For a Green Future" campaign, with V-GREEN offering extensive support and a strong commitment to partners in expanding the network of EV charging stations across Vietnam. The franchise model, designed as a collaborative effort between businesses and the public, promises high profitability for property owners nationwide.
V-GREEN's franchise charging stations will serve VinFast electric car and motorcycle owners, with the number of these vehicles expected to reach 300,000 cars and 1 million motorcycles by 2025. The company guarantees a fixed revenue share of 750 VND per kWh for its partners over a minimum of 10 years, along with comprehensive operational support, including management, maintenance, and marketing.
V-GREEN also ensures compensation for station owners if the business ceases operations before the 10-year commitment. Partners only need to invest in additional equipment and infrastructure to join V-GREEN’s green network, with opportunities for increased revenue through value-added services for EV owners during charging.
V-GREEN, which already operates the largest EV charging network in Vietnam, plans to expand its reach with a goal of 150,000 charging ports across all 63 provinces, backed by a 10 trillion VND investment over the next two years. Alongside the direct investment in official charging stations, the franchise model allows the company to mobilize additional social resources, accelerating the expansion of the charging network. This innovative business model is expected to play a crucial role in advancing the electric vehicle movement in Vietnam and may be explored for international markets in the future.
