Phycomp

The Phycomp division of Philips Electronics NV was acquired by Yageo Corporation in 2000, marking a significant expansion for Yageo in the passive components market. Founded in 1977, Yageo Corporation has grown to become a leading global manufacturer of passive components.

With strategic acquisitions including ASJ, a Singapore-based resistor manufacturer, in 1994; Vitrohm, a German resistor manufacturer, and Teapo, Taiwan's largest electrolytic capacitor manufacturer, in 1996; and Chilisin, Taiwan's largest inductor manufacturer, in 1997, Yageo has solidified its market presence.

The acquisition of Phycomp and Ferroxcube from Philips Electronics NV in 2000 further strengthened Yageo's product portfolio. Today, Yageo is one of the few manufacturers worldwide that supply all three primary passive components: resistors, capacitors, and inductors. Yageo's extensive product range caters to a variety of industries, including automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, and telecommunications.

With a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Yageo continues to provide advanced solutions that meet the evolving needs of the global market.
